About the World Trade Bridge
The World Trade Bridge opened in 2000 and was built for freight alone. It takes commercial trucks only: no passenger vehicles and no pedestrians. BTS counted 2,945,388 incoming truck crossings at the Laredo port of entry in 2025, 38.8% of the U.S.-Mexico border total and the most of any port. That count covers the whole port, not this crossing alone.

- Source: U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Border Wait Times (bwt.cbp.gov). Each wait carries CBP's own reading time.
- Waits are standard-lane delays. FAST, SENTRI and Ready lanes run their own waits and aren't shown.
- When CBP posts no reading for a lane, this page shows none. It never fills the gap.
